V & K · wedding at Dusit D2 Khao Yai
Bougainvillea in every shade of pink, a Thai ceremony, vows, and dinner under fairy lights in Khao Yai.
Photo · @korostudioFirst, a big thank you to the photography and film team of this wedding, who recommended us to this amazing couple.
V and K are the loveliest pair, and their families here in Thailand helped prepare everything alongside us. They were wonderful: they listened, and they truly planned this day together with us.
The thing everyone noticed first was the bougainvillea. V’s Thai name comes from that very flower. Many shades of bright pink made a venue in Khao Yai, all green hills and trees, feel many times brighter.
Their friends, family and guests were so kind: warm, easy-going, always ready to help, and so respectful of our team. We’re truly grateful for all of it.
The day began with a Thai ceremony in the afternoon, then a Western ceremony and the reception. At night, dinner was served under the fairy lights V had asked for, with a Thai dance performance so guests from abroad could see a little of our culture. Many of the older guests had never been to a wedding like this, and came over to tell us how warm the whole day felt. Later on, the night carried on with a party just for friends.
The wedding fell close to my birthday. At the very end, my team brought out a cake for me, just as some guests were leaving. A few of them saw it, and suddenly a group of guests were singing Happy Birthday to me. Days later, V tagged her friends in their WhatsApp group to send me birthday wishes too.
One of the happiest weddings I’ve ever had the joy of planning.
